M1008 turn signal help request <RESOLVED>

I've had my M1008 for several years now but never drive it because I nover could get the turn signals to work. I would like to remedy this.

As per usual, the wiring had lots of issues when I got it. I have corrected it for the most part, in an attempt to get it back to stock so I could work from there. I was able to get everything working except the turn signals. Somewhere along the line, I decided the issue was inside the steering column, so I put in a tilt column. Still no turn signals. Only other relevant mod was a 12v conversion.

What I need is someone to talk me through diagnosing this issue. Where do I start with a test light, etc.

Anyone here willing to talk me through this? I'm just stumped on what to do.

Find a wiring diagram and start there. Check all your grounds. Do any of the lights work at all or can you hear the relay?

As I recall, headlights, tail lights, marker lights and brake lights all worked fine. Don't recall ever hearing the flasher work. Can't recall if hazards worked. Went out to check and the battery was dead. Charging it now and will update tomorrow afternoon.

These are the schematics that I am using.

2/13 update.
No response from turn signals.
Hazards work as they should with the exception of the headlights also flash along with the marker and brake lights.

Started tracing the wires and immediately found the purple wire coming from the flasher was cut. Spliced it back together and turn signals work with the caveat of the left turn signal also flashes the headlights.

I had previously swapped the column, thinking the problem was in there. I'll swap it back and see if anything changes.

Behind the headlights and outside of the radiator on each side is a ground wire bolted to the front valence. If you have a flashing headlight remove both ground bolts and clean everything.

To clarify, headlights are flashing with the turn signals, not flickering. Headlight harness is new, grounds have been cleaned with a stainless bonding brush and installed with dielectric grease.

Not a ground issue.

Got this one figured out finally.

This used to sit for months and fire right up. Now it can't sit overnight or the batteries will be dead. Decided to spend a little time on that issue. Trying to figure out what was different. I had previously changed the steering column and gauge cluster over to a tilt and full gauge setup. As part of the turn signal diagnostics, I swapped the column back to the original. Made no difference with either issue. Then I swapped back to the original gauge cluster. Immediately the turn signals started working as they should.

This matter should be considered resolved.

Now, back to the battery drain issue...
