While waiting on parts and with cooler weather got to work on the topper. I had a damaged rear nutplate to fix and needed to plug the 2 holes used for coax cable pass thru. I used an old cutting board to fab up the plugs. I used 3M DP 110 epoxy to secure them in place, then a skim coat of body filler. Made a cover plate for some hole on the frame and secured it with cherrymax rivets. I made a lexan template before I cut out the area needed to replace the nutplate so i could make sure it got re-secured in it's original location. Wiped it down with denatured alcohol and tack ragged for a coat of primer. Going to get the inside finished before I primer and paint the exterior. The sanding both mechanical and by hand was brutal. I wanted to get the teal paint sanded off so I could primer over the original woodland scheme.
