M1030M1 Diesel Leak

We're all good now. It was the starter solenoid, not factory. With the new, factory starter solenoid (letting it cool and doubly securing the connectors) and a topped-off battery, she cranks immediately if not sooner.

Jumping on this thread. Just bought a M1030M1 diesel myself. She is terrible to start and actually tried to run backwards. I just had the starter run away until I pulled the hot wire to stop it. I assume the solenoid melted itself together. It’s taking way more than a few revolutions. Does anyone know how to check timing on this?
