I found a cable in the support behind the drivers seat, and traced it back to the battery box and the terminals covered in the protective goop. There is an inline fuse holder installed inside the battery box. My question is what was this cable used for, I am assuming it is for 24v radio/ communications gear. Because of the protective anti corrosion goop in the battery box I can’t trace the wires 100% It appears the orange and red wires are positive and the black and brown are negative. Can anyone confirm the wiring connection/ schematic?

These wires in my M1165 were LIVE!

Carefully remove with batteries DICONNECTED!

Don’t just slash and burn, Don’t just cut. Trace and remove from the power source. IMHO

I traced the cable to the fuse holder and pulled the intact fuse, I am planning on installing a 12v backup camera, as well as a 12v charging port for my phone. I have a step down converter and am leaning to reusing this cable. Just need to know a full breakdown of the conductor’s

IMHO. Just run new wires and be sure you have done it right.

A volt/ohm meter would be a big help.

Since we do not know what the original intent was for that cable or even who installed it, I doubt anyone would be able to tell you with certainty what the pinout is.
