M1123 project - battery, seat, door suggestions

Recently received my M1123 from gov.planet. Vehicle had 11,000 miles on it (for what that’s worth) then had an overhaul at Red River in 2016 and the odometer only went up 300 miles since then. Unfortunately, no fuel pump or intake manifold was put on and the block was exposed to the elements. Lot of headaches that some duct tape could have solved!

Was unable to unseize the motor after weeks of soaking. Everything in AMAZING condition minus the beating heart of the rig.

Found a member on here with a full 6.5L turbo power pack taken out professionally with 4000 (verified) total miles. Picked it up with week. Test ran it, fired right up. Very excited to start the transplant.

1. Going from the 6.5L NA -> turbo requires a body lift, new dog house cover and I’m sure a few more items?
2. I’d like to put 40x13.5x17s on, what size body lift should I put on? Also, tire suggestions? Looking at Mickey Thompsons
3. I do not have batteries. What are the best batteries for the 6.5L turbo? (Brand, group size, etc.) I have the 200amp alternator
4. Rather than buying a turbo dog house, looking at console ideas - would like cup holders, stereo controls, toggle switches and HVAC ports - any feedback welcome
5. Anyone know where to find a “good deal” on X doors or H1 style doors? They seem to all be what I paid for humvee!

Thanks for your time.

You will need to trim the passenger side body that sits under the doghouse. Several inches of trim.

Minimum 2” lift. I suggest stock 37x12x16.5” tires from Feltz

I use cheap 66 dollar Walmart units. Opinions will vary.

Turbo doghouse is essential to keep the turbo heat that is >1100 degrees F out of the cabin. It also keeps heat out of the console that can cause a fire. Just buy the damned doghouse cover. There is always a doghouse cover under a console.

I made Aluminum doors out of 1/4” sheet. I have also purchased electric doors that I got for a decent price. I also have soft doors and soft half doors. The doors I made are more robust and thousands of dollars less than most options.

You can buy the military spec’d Enersys AGM batteries direct if you have a business such as an LLC to buy them through. I put them on my truck and I’m always amazed at the reserve amps and how long they sit between cranks compared to other batteries. A lot of guys here recommend others that are cheaper though.
