M998 fire truck??

I looked at those tie downs and they seemed a little thin and I was worried they would pull out. I agree the troop seats are not the best choice so I went slow to avoid movement. I think I'll mount a tank in a M1101 that I have but I needed something quick. We use the IBC's for emergency cattle water because they can be forked on a tractor and be carried anywhere. I was thinking a big water buffalo would be cool but a M998 can't tow one. A small non-articulated water tanker truck would be great except on the hills.

Tie down to the supports that the seats attach to. The fender attachments should be acceptable. On my M1152 they seem like they should be secure, but that is an ECV so might be different.

Tie down to the bed, and the seat tie downs, and the b-pillar and the tailgate.

That's a lot of straps. Maybe some JB Weld will do the trick!

I was surprised that when I filled the tank (2,400 lbs) the suspension didn't really move. I thought I was close to maxing it out?

My brother Eric HummerH1 put a ton of rocks for his driveway in the back of his pickup and the springs didn’t budge. I’ll post a pic of his bed with just a few rocks in it.

These demilitarized units were made to accept up to 16,000 lbs of armor and such. They don’t swap out those springs when they auction off the units.
