I've registered 2 in Tennessee from sf97s and the bill of sale, about 3 years apart.

Maine is not. I was able to regester it, but when it reached the state for the title they requested I return the regestration and refused to title it. I even spoke to the state folks, they consider them off road vehicles.

I find it amazing that Florida is not friendly but the peoples republic of Massachusetts is friendly.??

AZ is a true playground for MV's. When it has it's 25th birthday, one can register it as a Historic Vehicle. That throws out ALL the commercial requirements: No logbooks, no CDL (because it is now a CLass A vehicle), no lighting requirements, or high-value insurance.

My 5-Ton costs me some $90 for 5 years registration, insured by Progressive with 100K/300K coverage. I carry the original AZDOT paperwork in case I run into an ignorant cop, but so far not.

So friendly is it.
