Does anyone have printed copy of TM 9-6115-641-24 (Field and Sustainment Maintenance Manual) who would like to sell it? This is like 600+ pages and while I can review this TM on line, I much prefer to have the paper copy. Thank you very much.

I recently did print one off on my home laser printer, because I agree that the paper version is handy. It took a little while, but really the cost isn't bad if you have it print double sided. Tedious for sure, but not unreasonable.

The cost is 60 cents per page printed front/back. If no one has one to sell, I’ll have to do that. Thank you.
.
if you send me a link to the manual or send it directly to me, we will print it for you for $127.24 plus about $20 in shipping.

Portrayal Press has it but they list it as 296 pages. $34.00

The problem with Portrayal press is that their TM is not up to date. The TM here in the TM forum has up to change 4. There is a newer TM. Dated 2012 I think. But it is not coded A, so we are not allowed to have it in our TM Forum.

Also, I moved this thread to the right forum.

OK, lets start again. The TM in the TM forum is dated 1993, with changes 1-3 in it. Its hard to read the changes through the plastic bag. Whats it say? Also, often, when a TM is sent out to the unit, it will also have in the plastic bag, changes that still have not been posted in the TM. Its a DIYS job, so to speak.

If he bought the paper copy available couldn't he download and print the changes that are listed (Sometimes for many, many pages) from the online one?

Finding the changes is the problem. If you can find them, its easy street. I have even found changes in PDF form, and integrated them into a PDF copy of the TM. But its a LOT more complicated. And when its a large change, you can be looking at several nights of work. Some folks try and integrate, lets say change #5, to a TM that only has up to change #2. Looks pretty, but you can just toss that TM out in the trash.

Yes, you could extract the changes from a TM that is in PDF form. But like I wrote above, unless the TM you buy has all the changes up to the one you can extract from a changed TM, you have to insert the changes in order. Inserting one out of order leads to possible missing info, or pages that have no relation to the page before or after an inserted page.

This is a small change. Some I have done digital, were 3 or 4 times as long. Make a mistake, and your ready to jump from the bridge. Lets see what the manual that 98G has for a change.

They are not too hard to do when its all paper. But CONCENTRATION, is the key word here. In the Army, I would take 5-6 TM's, and all the changes to the company classroom and lock the door. Coffee is needed. Lots.

Later, I took the Publication Officer job as one of my extra duties. I found a good NCO, and we would cancel the entire Publications for the Unit. Then sit down, and fill out the Pubs listing for each Section of the unit. It took months to get it done. But the units normally found out that up to 50-60 percent of the pubs and forms "needed" to run the unit, were outdated, no longer needed or the unit had no idea WHY they were even on the list. Saved a lot of money and trees!

I'm unwilling to tear it open, sorry.

I've been bitten multiple times opening things "to get a good look and some better pics" and then ending up with no longer "new in wrap" items as a result.

The manual i have came out of the door pocket of an LEAD reset genset. I won't swear to it, but i think the date on the tag was 2011. The genset is long gone.

The date and number of changes should be on the cover. I could almost read the changes, but not the last number. You dont have to open it.

Looks like 1-21? I have never seen that many changes. Then again I deal with mostly M-151's.
