Do you have newer built tires? or just brave? I have not tried to air mine down as my build date tires are old. I believe btwn 1999 and 2007.
Mine are dated 2012 if I remember correctly. So not nessesarily new anymore but newer at least. I air up and down often and never had an issue yet...

Since I replied to the wrong post, I'll repost here. I have a truck, but I am in desperate need of some manuals. I also have a few questions about some updates I'm wanting to do. Hope to talk soon.
As others have said, manuals cannot be posted on this site. They are out there though. If you post a specific question someone may be able to help.

I replied to you today.
I have a 2001 MK23 that seems to take forever to build up pressure to release the brakes, I think I have a couple things going on between a bad air dryer and a weak air compressor from the engine as well as 1 of the rear wheels brakes seems to stick when the others release.

Is it possible to get your opinion and perhaps the part numbers to troubleshoot the brake system? I need to rebuild the air dryer because the valve sticks open, but bypassing the air dryer as a test it still is slow to build pressure.

My email is *redacted* if you happen to have a napkin drawn diagram of where I should look.

How long is "forever"? It takes a few minutes. There are different cans for all 3 axles, so some more info would help. The brakes on these are nothing out of the norm, rears are s-cam. Some youtube will help in understanding their function. If you find a bad part, someone can likely pull the part number info if it's not already labeled on the part.

They never unlock unless I bypass the aftercooler then it takes about 20 minutes. I need to rebuild the aftercooler but seeing conflicting part numbers for the media that goes inside, is it the RN60A or RN60V?

Sorry I am new to these trucks, I was a pilot until I had to medically retire from the military so trying to learn and enjoy the hobby. I will brush up on some more youtube videos and see if I can figure it out. Thanks!

At this point I think we should change the title of this thread from "Manuals" to "Air brakes"

Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Probably better than 100 posts saying why manuals cannot be posted over and over, but I will start a new thread. My apologies!

I'm working through a cheap way through that issue. PM me if you are interested in more info otherwise.
I tried to PM but it only allows me to PM a Staff Member Patracy for some reason, but I am interested. Is there a minimum post count to unlock PMs. I would post my email but it keeps getting redacted.

You need 15 posts to send a PM.

Its for your own good. Putting your email in here is not a real good idea. There are people who look for the opportunity to do you wrong, when they can find your email. Perhaps you might need to peruse the Forum rules?

Just incase anyone needs the MTVR TM's both are as complete as I could get them. They were still in the wrapper when I opened the boxes of BII. If this is in the wrong thread I do humbly beg your forgiveness. I know how rude some of the gate keepers are, it Just pushes new people away.

These are in depth operating manuals not repair manuals. One has been posted before on other sites.
What is the distribution code on each manual? If it is NOT "A", it cannot be posted. If it does not have a distribution code printed on either the cover or the first page of the manual, be very careful with who sees your copy. Uncle Sugar does NOT play nice when you have his restricted manuals.

There is only one Maintenance “manual” and it covers all variants of the MTVR. While in Iraq, we tried to upload the CD’s to the MEF share drive so that units could download load them. Something in the programs did not allow it to work.
Also, the newer EMS-NG does not work correctly all the time, especially when using the schematics.
I have been working on MTVR’s since 1999, first as a Marine then as a Oshkosh Truck Corporation FSR assigned to I MEF and II MEF from 2004-2009 and now I work on them for the Marines as a DOD employee.
I have yet to meet anyone who knows these trucks better than me….and yes I have current CD’s but no, I cannot upload them here.
SIR, WE ARE AT A STANDTILL OF REMOVING THE REAR DIFF CARRIER. iS THERE A C CLIP ON THE STUB AXLE?
Appreciate any help, Thanks.
