Is this some new type of antenna mount?

Seen a lot of these brackets but never on a truck... but the military in general has a habit of bolting anything to anything anywhere.

Those brackets are on few Hmmwv's and on Mraps...Heavy antenna use.
They are stainless steel.

Not for hmmwv…the backing plate won’t allow install on a hmmwv fender due to rivets, so probably for Some other tactical vehicle or track.

I had that mount on my m1167, the long DUKE and extension flexed the fender terribly….I install the BAE version that has the reinforcement
support similar to the off set anten mount.
