Greetings from central PA!
I have often wanted a MV.. recently been working in a deal for a M35..I think its an A1?
I used to see thr truvk at this guys shop..only driven in Summer to support his construction business. I know he took great care of it..
Ilhe sold his business and the truvk has sat for almost 2 years.
He says he drained the fuel tank and advises I wash the tank out incase there is any algea from residual fuel.
My thought was to put fresh diesel in the tank, crank and go.
I do know the engine was completely gone thru about 10 years ago, brakes about 5 years ago..comes with street tires mounted and military tires in the bed. He is putting in new batteries before I go get all the info for insurance...currently registered as commercial vehicle..plan on title change and antique registration.

Questions:
If tank looks clean, Would you put fresh diesel and start or wash out the tank?

If you have your MV registered antique can you PM insurance options/ideas?

Plan is to paint in camouflage and use in parades and fun runs.

Wishing you all Merry Christmas

Greetings from Centre County.

You can title and register your M35 as an Antique or a Historic Military Vehicle. Both have the same regulations on it's use.
I have mixture of Antique and HMV tags on various trucks. I did have a M35A2 with Antique tags so it can be done.

Follow the link below to read up on the regulations.
PA Antique Tag Info
PA Historic Military Tag Info

When you transfer the title, find someone that knows how to change it to Antique or HMV at that time. This will prevent you from having to pay the title work twice. You may not be able to drive the truck until you receive the new tags. Have it delivered to you place before you do the title transfer.

Actually read posts about historic tags. Will have to look at Historic military vehicke tags. Plan is to get title signed at notary, put insurance on it and drive it home on secondary roads..then work on new registration submission with required pictures 😁

Will read the thread links you posted..

Will post pictures once it all happens

Have a Merry Christmas

When did that change? The MV-11 still states 4 color photographs
Just trying to get my ducks in a row
The last time I filed, you did not need to send photos. But that was a few years ago. The first time I filed for Antique, photos were required.

I just read the latest MV-11 and it was revised 3-25. They must have added the photo requirement then.
The MV-11V was revised 5-25.

Typical PennDOT, always changing things...

Welcome! I am originally from south of Pittsburgh, in a farm land area where the milk check was the way of life. Joined the military and after 50 years i live in Germany now. Again welcome and there are many folks that can assist you on this site. I recommend a few in the TM section. Get the books for your military vehicle or what ever. I deal in the generation, heating and air conditioning. I drove a M35 and a M35A1 in 1975. Gave up any books in 1999 as I retired from active force. I was a DA civilian then on in the ARMY till mid 2022. Active and DA Civilian I deployed 2 dozen times to war zones. Now I'm just old and busted. Welcome, and I hope you enjoy the site. Seems real good.

Good Day: I can only say I tried. I can say I made fewer body bags. This is thanks enough. Some folks got to chase Mama around the house. I even ran into Soldiers who said their fathers told them about me. That's a wow to me, and signaled the bell "time to go". Don't need anything more as I chose to do this or not have a job. I did, they went home, fewer busted junk, wife was real happy to see me come home. That's all there is as she was worth everything . I wish you and yours a very happy new year.
