Hi, Are there still vendors who sell original military (preferably NOS) mirrors for our Dodge?
the glass on mine didn't pass inspection.

i haven't seen any in some time but am interested as well.. I got a few on epay in its early years.. I have also replaced just the glass but that leaves deformities all along the edges of the frame, they are same housing as the civvy ones.... Have considered painting over the "chrome" but that might not adhere well, especially if branches etc scratch it

i agree if you're talking about aftermarket ones.. The originals on my civvy '77 have been on it since new and still are holding up strong , same design, same size as my 880 and 890 .. But my civvy truck was built in canada and has a few oddities about it

I replaced the mirror glass on a mirror several years ago. Afterwards you couldn't tell that it had been molested. I broke the old glass mirror out of the housing and cleaned it up. The steel housing had small crimps on the edges to hold the glass in. I bent them out straight with pliers. I went to a glass shop with the housing. The guy cut me out a section of mirror that fit perfectly. He used a small piece of scrap for the mirror. If I remember, he charged me $2.00 for the glass. I put the glass in the housing and carefully re-bent the crimps. I had to be careful doing this to avoid damaging the glass.
