I am having an issue with my Terex 51-19M telehandler boom. The boom will not go back down. I’ve checked the fuel to see if it was spiked with Viagra but its clean. :) Seriously, the machine runs and moves just fine except for the issue with the boom. Any chance someone could provide advice on how to safely lower the boom manually so I can get the machine in for service?

I did replace all the smaller fuses, which I think included the F2 location. I am not sure about the F24 location.

I rummaged a few books that I have.
Specifically in the Shop Manual on the 19-MD model, Fuses F1 F15 F17 and Relays R1 R7 control the Boom Lowering function.

Here are the books that I have.
Page 288 in the shop manual is trouble shooting for lowering the boom. (in ShopManual 03, Printed Page #282)

Sorry I had to bust up the book, but the site says at 40mb, the file was too large.

anyone have any questions on these. I built alot of them ,will help anyway i can

Help, please!
Same problem. Boom up no problem, boom won’t lower nor extend. Overload red light on while no load at all.
Otherwise, starts, and runs fine. Boom will bleed down and lower if left overnight due to very slow leak at valve block on base of boom cylinder.
Also, this valve behind cab has missing wiring connector. Could that be source of boom control problem?IMG_6022.jpegIMG_6021.jpeg

Hello everyone, we have gone through ALL of the manuals and verified all of the fuses & relays are functioning correctly. I have the parts manual and cannot find the "ARB" Module listed on the service manual. Our boom is also stuck lifted and will not come down.

I am writing to see if you might any any suggestions for diagnosing a problem I am having with my Terex 51-19M telehandler. The machine has been pretty reliable but I left the battery switch on and the battery went dead. I jump started the machine using another 24v machine with a set of jumper cables. I left the machine running awhile hoping the battery would charge. It did not charge so I jumped the machine again. The next time I tried to jump start the machine it did not work. There was no ‘clicking sound’ or other indication the starter was engaging. The red light on the dash would dim as if turning the switch to the start position was trying to do something.

I tend to think I have damaged the starter when I tried to jump start the machine for the 3rd time. However before I go to the trouble to pull the starter, I wanted to ask if you think there is anything else I should try first?

Thanks again,
