Dang, that's a mess!
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!

Just plain simple is hard to beat, you know?M931A2
I eliminated the fuel tank control valve in the cab, now fuel pump is hooked directly to the drivers tank only .
It already runs better .

Nothing weird ay all about that fabrication, US6x4; that there is an excellent piece of work!I made a weird bracket that straddles the back of a cargo hold down to mount my VRC antenna base and antenna element. I mounted it to the passenger side so it wouldn't interfere with unloading a full size spare tire and because the radio is also on the passenger side.
Next up is to wire up the aerial and install the radio under the seat!

That there, 8madjack, is one RIGHTEOUS cheater bar:I broke down 2 wheels and cleaned them up, painted them inside and put new O rings and turret valve seals. I learned, got a workout, bought a few tools, note the giant slide hammer is really the only one you need. Now I don't have any tires losing air and going flat...
Sure could...how many are you thinking?Could you make some more brackets?
I was just thinking of one, for my M923A2, Groot. Thank you.Sure could...how many are you thinking?
this was 10 ga. stainless and I haven't got the shop bill for it so I don't know what they cost yet.
.I found a nail in my tire between a tread block. I'm not happy. Thinking that the carcass is pretty thick and the length of nail was not known, I marked it and gave it a yank. It was too long and air came out after pulling it...f@ck...
How would you guys fix this? Patch? plug?
100 mph tape?

In retrospect, what would have been wrong with "benign neglect" ?.
A patch is more of a PITA, but you don't risk not "following the path" of the nail and ending up with a bulge in the tire because you went between the layers of the tire...
I would vote for a patch.
Just plug it, it'll be fineI found a nail in my tire between a tread block. I'm not happy. Thinking that the carcass is pretty thick and the length of nail was not known, I marked it and gave it a yank. It was too long and air came out after pulling it...f@ck...

I plan on submitting a shop order this week...I was just thinking of one, for my M923A2, Groot. Thank you.
I have also had good luck with plugs. I would go with one without thinking twice.I found a nail in my tire between a tread block. I'm not happy. Those are MRAP rims.I picked up some tires to single out the M51A2. Got 4, still looking for a couple more. Got them home today and I think I made a mistake. I think these are MRAP wheels.View attachment 956890
I do. Let me know what you find out. Thanks. Those are MRAP rims.
I've got some LMTV rims and one 100% tread 395. I've got a buddy that might have more 395s. I'll check with him.
The rims are NOS, and they don't have the nuts that hold the two halves together. I have at least 5 and maybe 6. I'll check today and get a count.
Still have my number?
