Thanks for the input Mogman! That’s what I’m thinking too. I did try starting with both in Park the first time and I could only get the transmission through to either overdrive or drive, but surely not to 2nd or 1st. I tried shortening the arm at the transmission by mocking up a replacement with extra holes closer to the center point but that didn’t work. I’m thinking I will try to lengthen the bottom end of the shifter lever so the radius is greater, therefore increasing the amount of movement, at the transmission. Hopefully that works, otherwise I’m out of ideas at the moment.You may need to make the linkage arm that attaches ether shorter or longer, if the shifter does not have enough throw to get to all the gears from the park position (assuming you have gotten to the point you are in park with both the transmission and the shifter) you would need to make the arm shorter.
