They are not too hard to do when its all paper. But CONCENTRATION, is the key word here. In the Army, I would take 5-6 TM's, and all the changes to the company classroom and lock the door. Coffee is needed. Lots.
Later, I took the Publication Officer job as one of my extra duties. I found a...
Finding the changes is the problem. If you can find them, its easy street. I have even found changes in PDF form, and integrated them into a PDF copy of the TM. But its a LOT more complicated. And when its a large change, you can be looking at several nights of work. Some folks try and...
OK, lets start again. The TM in the TM forum is dated 1993, with changes 1-3 in it. Its hard to read the changes through the plastic bag. Whats it say? Also, often, when a TM is sent out to the unit, it will also have in the plastic bag, changes that still have not been posted in the TM. Its a...
The problem with Portrayal press is that their TM is not up to date. The TM here in the TM forum has up to change 4. There is a newer TM. Dated 2012 I think. But it is not coded A, so we are not allowed to have it in our TM Forum.
Also, I moved this thread to the right forum.
Be happy. And think how it was much better to use a good Fluke, then, say, your hand. :p I worked with a guy who was too lazy to go get his meter. he would lick two finger and reach right in there. There is not enough gold in Ft. Knox, to get me to do that.
i am set at single phase 240 mode.. I am assuming in 3 phase mode it doesn't use the breaker?
Assuming will always bite you on the butt. Read the TM's
Have you downloaded the TM's?
Have you ever seen this gen set work right?
Have you measured from LO to all three Phases?
Do you have 120 volts...
I am not a truck guy. But did work on them from time to time. I never saw or heard about a fuse able link in the wire harness. That looks more to me, like a point were one wire is split out to send voltage to two different places at the same time. But lets hear from smarter folks than I, to be sure.
About 1983-84 I went to a 3 day NATO briefing. On day 2, we were about ready to go to sleep, when the next briefing started. It was about ADA. Air Defense Artillery. I spent almost my entire 20 years in or supporting ADA. I am, (thank you Lord) not a Duck hunter. At the time I was serving in a...
I picked this hose, Item #4, for an example. When you look at the TM, it shows you the hose. Look at the information page, and there is no NSN. That's because its not a stocked item. You are supposed to make it. The hose material itself is Item #6. Look at item number #6 in the info page and it...
OK... Pumps pulled.
Broke the gen side down first. Cleaned. Everything moved very nicely. For sure a few particles around, so good that it's done.
Broke down the fan side. It was sticky. Moving, but tight. Carb cleaner did it's thing, and all is moving nicely again. It wasn't stuck...
I don't feel like reading this whole thread, its longer than my Autobahn 9. 🙂 So, will ask:
Has it ever run right in front of you?
Have you taken the IP's out, disassembled them and cleaned them?
Have you loosened the mounting bolts for the IP's and then articulated the linkage? You can...
