My opinion is that an occasional drip isn't a bad thing - except for the mess it creates. Just check your oil regularly (daily) and you should be just fine. Having to run it to maintain power means pushing maintenance until you get grid power back... That shouldn't cause you any serious...

No grease for sure...
What about loosening the tight side and then bring them down a few turns each?
And/Or getting a set of longer bolts - run them into place - then remove one and replace it with the original, then do the other?

Nice... Really Nice building!
AND you even have a Pit!!
I started the permitting process here in the great state of Mecklenburg a little over a year ago. Still waiting on permits. Their latest round of hassling me is an 8 foot sidewalk with an 8 foot planting strip with city approved trees...

Ouch!
I imagine that the cab bushings made a heck of a difference in the ride. It's hard to imagine that two little bushings made that much difference in my truck - but it made a world of difference! Guessing too that the stabilizer bar bushings will cut down on the rattle too...

Just remember... if you ever need to be towed - having those front glad hands would be useful. Powers the brakes from the towing vehicle.
Glad to hear that you solved those air leaks! Plugging into the emergency front glad hand on the truck with an air compressor will give you peace and...

Ouch! It would be really odd for the bolts to all sheer off at one time.

Welcome to the Outfit! You may want to download the TM's (Technical Manuals) for your new to you truck. I can't really know for sure - but it sounds like you have battery power and the starter spins? So, are you seeing any smoke coming out of the exhaust? Has it been sitting long? Any...

Right. It is a dual purpose socket. 1 1/2 inch and 13/16 Square. I guess it needs to be rotated in the picture... 1 inch square drive on the other end. Budd Wheel Socket.

Sad to say that there isn't much you can do - other than to twist and carefully extract the inside from the outside. Guessing that 50 years of sitting there ready to be disconnected has just worked on its longevity... My guess is that the internal (metal) components have seized a little bit...

No. there are commercial policies and commercial USES.
I have a commercial policy for my business for business use.
THEN I have a commercial policy for my MV's that are not for real commercial use.
The guy who set mine up said the weight of the vehicle required a commercial policy...

Well... Welcome to the Outfit!
Looks to me like you have a heck of a vehicle for hauling whatever you want to haul. I don't really have any recommendations for Training Manuals (TM's) since a fire truck doesn't really fit into that need. Still, its a pretty cool looking rig!
