What Have You Done To/With Your Genset Lately?

I put my MEP802 into the bed of the M998 and strapped it down. Now I have portable power. I put a thick rubber stall mat underneath it with the intent of protecting the aluminum HMMWV bed from the genset skids, and I'm just blown away at how much quieter it makes the genset. I also wired in a...

    Tire size

Specifically, it rubs up front at full turn on factory 5ton combat rims. HEMTT rims resolve this. Bed contact can occur as well, under extreme articulation. 395's are probably your answer. 16.00s and HEMTT rims on my M925-

Wires Leaving K1: Make this part of your winter-prep service inspection

Slice the hose in a spiral and it stays on better. Thanks for the informative post.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Check the engine tags on the KS RSMS truck. A lot of those got new engines....

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Those are MRAP rims. I've got some LMTV rims and one 100% tread 395. I've got a buddy that might have more 395s. I'll check with him. The rims are NOS, and they don't have the nuts that hold the two halves together. I have at least 5 and maybe 6. I'll check today and get a count. Still...

    KS 10KW 24V APU

These are powered by 26hp HATZ Diesel engines. I have two of these almost complete, lacking just a fuel tank and radiator overflow. A third one for parts. The two nearly complete crank and run for a moment until fuel runs out. Use them to charge a battery bank and then run your off grid...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

My wrecker has completed migration onto 11.00R24s. (Almost - one more to go) Hopefully this is the best of both worlds - nearly the ride height of super singles, and the stability and redundancy of duals. Much credit to @BigRig379

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

In retrospect, what would have been wrong with "benign neglect" ? The nail itself was effectively sealing.

    Server migration

I toggle between multiple browsers and different sites. I get the "are you human" page every time I come back to Steel Soldiers. That page requires no input from me. It just shows for a couple of seconds and then SS loads. (That's why I was curious as to mechanism of verification.)

    Deuce replacement tires

There are a number of rims that fit. One of the better solutions is to go to 395s on MRAP rims with 10lug to 6lug adapter plates. This is still a 20" tire though.

    Server migration

The prompt doesn't even register as an annoyance honestly. Tell me, how does it verify that I'm actually human?

    Server migration

Noticeably lagging. Edit - I measured the amount ot time for this two word post to load - 38 seconds.

    Deuce replacement tires

Scrounging 9.00R20s one at a time. Or going to 11.00R20, 12.00R20 or 395s all at once. The latter requires a wheel swap..

    12v/24v question

I see no I see no reason this wouldn't work.

Single out on stock wheels and tires

If you flip the hubs you can run dish in. Flipped hubs + dish out = considerably wider than the pic I posted.

Single out on stock wheels and tires

What size super single do you intend?(this probably means a wheel swap as well.)
