    65 Group batts in M35?

If you absolutely depend on this truck, reliability might be questionable for starting in the cold. But you aren't going to damage anything using them. I frequently use group 65 batteries in 5tons.

What size is this fuel line?

I replaced the one that cracked, and in so doing found that every piece of rubber line on the machine is crunchy (no surprise). What's the routing on the fuel return? I've got a bunch of loose ends that I can't tell where they came from or what they hook into. I pulled the cover off the top...

    65 Group batts in M35?

    Should be fine.

What size is this fuel line?

I think I think I fell victim to the same thing. Like you, I figured if it labeled itself as return line, it had the correct rating. :(

What size is this fuel line?

So I have three gensets, and not a one of them is fully operational. This one seems to be the shortest path to electrical power. It's a MEP802. Was working fine and sprung a leak. Low pressure fuel line, old and crusty... First Pic is in situ looking from the slave port side. 2nd pic is the...

    Low voltage on GETT 20kW

I thank you profusely. Temps are single digit currently. It'll probably be a bit before I get outside working on it.

    Low voltage on GETT 20kW

    Exactly that.

    Low voltage on GETT 20kW

    Thanks!

Quick and stupid general electrical question

    The onboard digital readout.

Quick and stupid general electrical question

Thank you! Given that it isn't currently making correct voltage, how concerned should I be? Forecasted temps around zero. A greenhouse worth of decorative plants. My concern is possible loss of grid power. Potential problems, no actual problems. Yet.

Quick and stupid general electrical question

Thanks. This confirms my understanding. No blower motors or anything else that i understand to be voltage sensitive. Just heat generation using radiant heaters.

    Low voltage on GETT 20kW

No company markings on the generator. I remember it being Applied Companies.

Quick and stupid general electrical question

I've got a 20kW genset that's putting out ~85volts instead of the 120v. In an emergency, can I run this through a PD box and use it for electrical heating?

    Low voltage on GETT 20kW

Applied Companies if i remember correctly. The generator head is HanCo. I'll get a look at it tomorrow. Thanks.

    Low voltage on GETT 20kW

J1 contactor INOP and has been for some time. Today all 3 legs on the genset were under voltage. From seventy some odd volts wandering up to 95V. For a brief time it made 120v on all three legs. No load placed on it at any point. I let it run for half an hour or so. Where do I start looking?

M1010 broke down in Pratt KS

@155mm and/or Robert K may have suggestions or be of assistance. (David, please nudge Robert, i forget his SS name.) I'm in Omaha for the weekend, and my phone is broken so I have lost all my contact info. I've got a towbar in Washington KS 66933 and plenty of parking if you need some place to...

6.2L Detroit blew two rods. Where to find 6.2 Block Kit?

I would think that an engine swap would be the shortest and least expensive path to getting the truck back on the road. Possible easy candidates would be 6.2 and 6.5 engines from civvy vehicles, other CUCVs, or HMMWVs. I believe you could also transplant a 5.9 Cummins with a little more...

Wires Leaving K1: Make this part of your winter-prep service inspection

Tin snips/bolt cutters. Maybe a cut off wheel. (Does that count as three tricks? :) )
