Yep that's the one! The taco truck is usually there 1100-1900 M-F. If you're into indian food, the truck stop at exit 776 in Yreka is decent if a tad slow some times.
I live indian food. My wife and I go to an Indian buffet down in Long Beach where we mainly stay. It's run by Indians whom are mostly from Nepal. But yeah, when I'm on the road, my partner and I usually stop to switch or fuel and we take off. But we have stopped at places in Chicago for their pizza or jot dogs, or gone to bbq joints in Texas and Oklahoma. But I'll keep the taco truck in mind when I do stop in Weed

You haven' t lived real until you've stopped at some of those homegrown BBQ set-ups in North Carolina.

Typically just randomly found in the corner of some large parking lot.

Killer Q!

I've heard of those. I rarely have a run that takes me into the Carolinas. I've been wanting to try some of the white bbq sauces that Alabama has.

Regarding MV people in the far northern CA, the Military Vehicle Collectors of California database shows a few in the Redding-north area. A friend of mine in Cottonwood is a big WW2 Dodge guy. We actually have more members in Oregon than in far northern CA but no doubt there are a lot of MVs everywhere.

The Military Vehicle Preservation Association probably has members in that area. Members can search their database using terms like name, city, state. Their website is www.MVPA.org

Another way to find people is to attend the Camp Plymouth Military Vehicle Show & Swap Meet every mid-April in Plymouth, CA. Rent a campsite (even if staying in a hotel) which can also be a MV display or vendor space, and put up a sign asking who is a resident of the area you are interested in. We attract people from most western states. It's the largest annual MV event west of the Mississippi River. Some put up photos of MVs for sale, if they don't bring them to the event. Or vehicles wanted. Event details are on the SS Events forum now. Here is a link:
