Regarding MV people in the far northern CA, the Military Vehicle Collectors of California database shows a few in the Redding-north area. A friend of mine in Cottonwood is a big WW2 Dodge guy. We actually have more members in Oregon than in far northern CA but no doubt there are a lot of MVs everywhere.
The Military Vehicle Preservation Association probably has members in that area. Members can search their database using terms like name, city, state. Their website is

Another way to find people is to attend the Camp Plymouth Military Vehicle Show & Swap Meet every mid-April in Plymouth, CA. Rent a campsite (even if staying in a hotel) which can also be a MV display or vendor space, and put up a sign asking who is a resident of the area you are interested in. We attract people from most western states. It's the largest annual MV event west of the Mississippi River. Some put up photos of MVs for sale, if they don't bring them to the event.
