And I thought California was famous for NOT (much) having thunderstormsThanks! It's in the Lake Isabella area. Time moves slowly there. Lots of blue California skies and lots of thunderstorms too
It's in a high desert elevation where there's quite a bit of humidity. Sometimes, it even shows there. But there's also earthquake activity which can spice things up.And I thought California was famous for NOT (much) having thunderstorms

I know a guy that lives part time in Bodfish! Bill. Saved my bacon once when I had2....yes, two flats on my trailer, one left, one right, at the same time while on my way to a 9 day camping trip to Limestone. Way up north in Siskiyou county near Yreka.Whereabouts are you?
Lots of rain? I drive for UPS in a sleeper tractor. I was just in the Portland area on Friday afternoon heading south into California. I saw signs for Yreka. But everywhere i drive in the US, I'm always looking around and I see all kinds of MV on people's properties. Just a couple of weeks ago, I was on the backroads of Mississippi going through Hattiesburg and saw a business that was selling trucks/tractors and lo and behold there was a deuce and a half thereWay up north in Siskiyou county near Yreka.
That's funny. I was just at that Pilot in Weed. Across from the Grocery Outlet. My co-driver and I switched there. Got some Powerball tickets and left to drive down south to LA. I think we were a little late for the taco truck.Man oh man do we need rain/snow. There're some good stops like the Pilot in Weed,CA that has a kick ass taco truck, El Zaguan, out back M-F. I'm there a few times a month to chow down.
Ran into a guy at the refuse transfer station south of Weed the other day who owns a fleet of antique CCKWs he's trying to patch up and pass on, so yea, they're out here too I guess.
