The rear condenser units on my M1165A1 are loose, not being held up by any bracket. Anyone know what parts are missing to secure it?

IIRC the bracket is built into the condenser, it is held in at the rear by some screws through the top of the fender near the back.
Man I hope so. Will disassemble it a bit more to see where those might attach. Can't find it in the TMs...

Actually it can be removed from the cond. but it could still be there and all you need are the screws, notice different part numbers for the left or right side bracket.

You should be able to see the bracket through the screw holes in the top of the fender as you push the cond. back into place
Thanks. I saw that in the TM, but believe that bracket is for the front side, which is in place. The rear (angled) side is what's loose. I will take another look for bolt holes from the top.

That crude rear bracket holds the rear of the condenser unit up. The condenser unit has a strip of spring steel that just slips over that crossbar.
Its hard to describe and impossible to photograph it in place.
In this pic the spring steel sheet metal with the green dot just slides up over that bracket cross bar. The only thing that holds it there is gravity and the three bolts in the top forward bracket of the condenser unit.

That's right, now I remember, if he has only holes in the rear then the bracket has been removed, if he still has two the screws in place maybe it just slipped out somehow.
Again IIRC they are making that bracket aftermarket so might be tough to get a factory one, although there are allot more parts trucks than there used to be..

It looks like the later trucks had that bracket riveted in place as there are no holes for the bracket, if it had screws they would be at C and D of second picture

The bolts (C and D) from your diagram are installed, so I took off the grille and looked up in there. Looks like the bracket broke off? See pic.

Yes and notice there is a right and left side, IIRC when I installed my condensers in my M998 I ended up getting some aftermarket brackets

Looks like HPG has them, these would be OEM
Got em installed and good to go. As DREDnot described above, it’s a goofy design. Rear lip of condenser rests on the ledge of the brackets. Only a matter of time before it slips off, or the bracket breaks again.
Here’s a pic showing the mounting bolts. Note the new bracket, compared to what’s left of the old one (attachment points only)!

If you will notice the replacement is better built than the original you had.
