Can a 5 ton Bob Duce handle a 17 foot dump trailer? What are the real specifications on towing by a 5 ton Bob Duce
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!

A what?
A 5ton? Or a deuce (2.5ton)?
An altered bobbed truck has no specifications once the suspension was tampered with and an axle lopped off. Without knowing exacrly what was done, any answer is just speculation.
939series 5ton. Either a cut down M923 or an altered M931. NH250 and Allison 5speed automatic.Im waiting on specs for that. I should know soon.
I would be more concerned on what can brake 30k plus truck safely and reliably.
A deuce air over hydraulic stopping itself and 30k was not what is designed for minus an axle and 2 brake drums. Max towed spec on a m35 with no alteration is 10k.
A m939 series 5 ton or such with total air brakes would be my recommendation.
You are correct! I've backed away from the idea. My f-250 Diesel will pull that and stop that fine.On point !
Pictured is a 5ton with full airbrakes.On point !
That's real Nice! I like it!Pictured is a 5ton with full airbrakes.
