Kinda curious... That red cross is like KRYPTONITE.

Whoever wears or displays the sign of the Red Cross or any insignia colored in imitation thereof for the fraudulent purpose of inducing the belief that he is a member of or an agent for the American National Red Cross; or

Whoever, whether a corporation, association or person, other than the American National Red Cross and its duly authorized employees and agents and the sanitary and hospital authorities of the armed forces of the United States, uses the emblem of the Greek red cross on a white ground, or any sign or insignia made or colored in imitation thereof or the words “Red Cross” or “Geneva Cross” or any combination of these words—

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

The red cross and red crescent emblems are protected symbols under international humanitarian law and national laws. Any use that is not expressly authorized by the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols constitutes a misuse of the emblem. Use of these emblems by unauthorized persons is strictly forbidden. Please contact the ICRC for more information.

Many states DMV have something to say about display too. Might be cool or a hot ticket ???

Is there a doctor in the house, CAMO
Woof... guess they were serious about what they said of my red cross 151A2....

Well the inferno season is finally over here in Florida so I can work on the Beast outside without sweating from head to toe after five minutes. I ordered a Flex-a-Lite fan that was recommended by a forum member, but I could not find his thread again unfortunately to thank him. Has about a couple of inches of boarder where it does not cover the aftermarket condenser I have. Better than anything else I could find. No clearance issues with the hood. Just wired them in series so they handle 24V and wired it to pull air through.

This replaced two fans without a shroud, and I think a shroud will really help the AC. I won't find out till the inferno returns. Not touching the stock hydraulic fan setup. Lucky it was on sale and I plucked the last one they had during the sale.

Flex-A-Lite model 440. A big thank you to whoever recommended these :jumpin:

This is the absolute BEST HUB tutorial I have seen.
garbage in, garbage out
what someone who really knows what’s he’s doing will tell you that that clamp nut is junk and should be replaced with either the military spindle nut locking washer or go with modMafia spindle nut locking kit. The tech doing this work also failed to tell you the clamp nut screw should have a thread locker applied.

Yeah, MOST of us are not rocking H1s But the motions are the same regardless of that nut. the preload and torque how things go together. the basic mechanics of the thing. Mod Mafia has a video of a rebuild too. that is pretty decent done on the bench. For Clarity either one is a good video.
One is AWESOME if you want to spend $750 on 4 nuts and attendant hardware... the Military A1 nut and lock washer is good if you know what you are doing.

Extremely quick 2 day makeover to get one of my 1152’s ready for a Christmas parade, from no lights, lots of missing goodies, no top, no doors, no windshields, to full work up and turn key. She ran out great for the parade

New Rubber first pair installed second pair due in on Tuesday. MAYBE get them mounted and installed on Wednesday? MAYBE?
16oz of Counteract per tire. I DID not go back with the runflats because being a one armed bandit on the strength zone after shoulder surgery it just is never going to get back. and it was too cold to get them to squeeze down. had to bead seat with Ether. BUT the balance beads work great. Wrangler Enforcer Load Range D's from FELTZ on their "B" rated 24 Bolt Tandem wheels, I did scuff the dishes and hit them with some Black Oxide Primer and Rapco Rattle Semi Gloss... Easier to fight dirt... Tire that came off the left Rear had a bulge and serious checking. Hopefully it will get painted next year... 878dc379-a15a-47b0-b8a2-ec95a4684c7c.jpg

This looks like the setup I'm going for. The winch plate, rollers and supporting brackets came with the veh. Did repurpose the brackets to attach the brush guard to the plate? I know this thread is 2 years old but I really like this.
So, my 1097 came as a 3 speed. To improve the top speed me and my mechanic decided to upgrade to a 4 speed. Prices on these are stupid, just like all humvee parts so we made the decision to look for an auction vehicle that was busted up but looked like it had the pieces we needed.

Found this busted up 1114:

As you can see it has some problems. However, it also came with a MM winch mounted in the rear. I got it for the asking price, plus delivery and a forklift rental at my end because it certainly couldn't be rolled off the trailer. I recouped a little more than half by selling the slant back. I've since gone with a McClarin Composites helmet top. I cannibalized some parts for my 1097. It was the mechanics idea to mount the HF winch on the front since we got that mounting hardware off the 1114.

Here's the MM mounted in the rear:

What are ya’ talking’ ‘bout?

A little Mother’s Wax at that’ll polish right up!

Smart to purchase parts trucks. Hope the tranny works. Alternative is any 4x4 4L80e post 95 should slide right in.

Smart to sell off parts you don’t need. That’s my plan too with my M1114 parts units. I needed engines. One has only 37 miles. I may also repurpose the rear winch.

Good luck!!!

Just remember you need a convertor for a Diesel... not Gas... Hope the Trans works... LKQ can set you up with a transmission I'm sure probably around $1500 or so with guaranteed mileage. Disregard, no used in stock only rebuilt... those are over 4k...

Building on a previous post... Today was the day to mount second pair of Enforcers.
Also chose due to 70 degree weather in DECEMBER to go ahead and replace the Drivers side spindle that has been an annoying leak...
there was a pit line in the SEAL Zone... I plan to replace the remaining 3 as well
