What's a good 395/85/20 tire price these days?

Hard to say what they once were but the stud count on your current rims are 16 vs 20 on those other rims. For tires everyone has an opinion and some states have law, definitely for commercial us, on age of tires. I don't see an issue with an older tire as long as it's been out of the sun, rain...

What's a good 395/85/20 tire price these days?

You have some home brew or shop made "recentered" rims is what it looks like. The other photo is 395/85r20 MV/T tires on FMTV rims. Pretty standard for surplus tires. Pricing varies highly on location, availability, and budget. $250-$350 tire isn't bad (imho) but check for cracking and the...

    M931 W/W Hydraulic tank relocation

M932 (tractor with winch) has it behind the cab center so you're good to relocate it as you see fit.

The upgrade variants of the M916 NTC400 trucks

I can help answer your questions as Simp and I corroborated on these "M916A0E1" so we call them. I have not been able to find any TM's that have the parts list or wiring diagram for the upgrade. Did RRAD publish any TM's for the M916A0? As such, I'm struggling with identifying all the...

    M932a2 Titling question

Bonded title or a titling agency are the only ways unless you state offers something special for antiques. Some of those NE states don't offer titles on older vehicles such as Connecticut. It's a pain to get titles but doable. Jumping topic and feel free to message me. I'm interested to know...

    2003 M1078A1 Alternator

I'm the seller on ebay and they're take offs that went through my local Neihoff certified rebuilder. They passed all tests and rated grade B for cosmetic decencies. I believe I have one that came off a crated engine but I will have to check.

    2003 M1078A1 Alternator

200 Amp - N1216-1 260 Amp - N1224-1 I've fit a N1216-1 on a Cat 3116 so it will fit a 3126. I lengthened the upper armature to ensure good clearance and shimmed a pulley from the 100 amp alternator and it fit. It drove from Kentucky to Idaho without any issues. N1216-1 N1224-1

    2003 M1078A1 Alternator

The newer 100 amp unit is the N1511-1 but there are 200 amp and 260 amp Niehoff units as well. There's no direct fit civilian alternator for these vehicles at the moment.

What is this thing? M71 3 Ton Crane

Judging by the age of manufacture there may truly be nothing out there. There wouldn't have been digital records of it nor does it seem to have been widely produced for info and parts to exist today. I did see one at auction last month at a diesel college in a field and supposedly it ran. It too...

    Alternator On FIRE!

Your alternator to starter relationship in this situation isn't possible. Ignition off = alternator off/ no excitation. Even if the unit somehow failed in an operating state at max output it would only put 60 amps on the 24v side. That's far less than required to turn the engine over. Starter...

    What bracket is this?

The top most pin highlighted in your photo would be used to tow a FMTV without any adapter needed. The adapter in in question would slide into that spot and use both crossbar pins for securement. This would allow it to lift anything with 1" pin (m35a2, M923, M818, etc) and the other side should...

    What bracket is this?

You are correct. They are the M1089 stringer adapter for non-FMTV towing. I'm going off on a SWAG here but you're in Austin so Beltfed34's assortment of bits. (I'm actually looking for a pair)

    Help Identifying Wheel Type

Mine had a thick bead lock and it had to have been assembled with a machine. I couldn't get the bead to seat upon reassembly even with 3 people and a M10A forklift assisting so I ditched the bead lock. You may have to resort to forklifts, trucks, and trees on this one.

    Help Identifying Wheel Type

I believe it was a 3/8" o-ring for the one I replaced but that has been many months ago.

    Help Identifying Wheel Type

It's a Husky VMMD rim that's unique to that vehicle. I have one so I can spot them anywhere. The funky CTIS assembly confirms it.
