I'd like to see that, and how you do it. :jumpin:
I was a prolific modeller in my younger days, but life got in the way about 30 years ago, I've just started to get back into it. I have gathered up most of the available models of my own stuff in 1/35, just need to get them put together. :)...
My understanding of this is that the insurance company (the bane of life in any event) requires that the vehicles involved in trail rides, reenactments, etc. are required to be MVPA operated to be covered. Insurance company rules, not MVPA rules. And the "coming and going" part refers to in...
Excellent.
If you're interested, the big-frame mirrors that we have on our deuces are in the M109/M185 kit, among the parts for the tanker. I don't know why they didn't include those in the M35 kit.
I thought it at the time, but failed to mention - very nice work on your build, and...
I know! Nothing negative about you and the lovely Gerty, who I voted for in the past, and I appreciate you getting things started this month. Usually I fret mightily over where the voting finger will land, this time I had a means to rationalize a choice, and spread the honours so to speak...
As much as I love Kendelrio's M715, it has won vehicle of the month and vehicle of the year several times already, Joe hasn't, so that makes deciding between the two easier this month.

One question that wasn't answered in the early days of this thread was the XM815 designation.
The X means non-standard, and usually designates prototypes, but is also used for production vehicles that are either produced in small numbers, or before they get officially designated as standard...
Thanks.
She (the computer-fixing lady) said my old computer probably just needs a simple part (driver?) and should work again. It would be great if she can get it going, it has a lot of old programs that my newer one won't run, like my draughting software. It would never get hooked to the...
There was a complete one at Memphis Equipment back in 2006 on one of my visits there.
I'm looking for pictures I took on that visit, but they're probably locked inside my old computer that slammed shut many years ago (though I was recently told that might be a minor and easily fixed problem...
That is cool! I'd get one for my older son, who drove those and LVSR MKR16s in the Marines, but the "standard edition" (sold out) is $1000, and the edition shown in the video is $1299.99 (discounted from $1400), so it won't be any time soon!

February Nomination has ended. *
:tank: :driver:
For campaigning, please wait until @patracy gets the voting thread open.
* However, this one won't be locked, so if someone managed to sneak another candidate in before the vote thread...... 🤔

Thanks gents, that answers the question for me, particularly Tim's "..one of the last to leave around noon".
Maybe next year the two events won't overlap.
Y'all have fun!

Unfortunately, the date once again conflicts with the Burnet airshow, which for me will consume all day Saturday, and the days before.
How late do folks stay on the Sunday? Would it be worth me driving for three hours Sunday morning to get there? I'd really like to put some of y'all's faces...
I bought some of those thimble nuts from Boyce Equipment a couple of months ago. I don't think they are on the website, I called them and asked if they had any.
Incidentally, they assured me the nuts were US made, not Chinese.
