MTVR turns over but won't start

Like I said previously. Pin 70 on connector closest to rear of the truck (right) Key on power. Turn off power to truck before disconnecting ecm

MTVR turns over but won't start

    Random accessory cables. Ignore

MTVR turns over but won't start

It is not in the fuse box. It is in the bundle of wires above the 3rd valve cover closes to the cab. Looks like a blank plug or dummy plug. Pull it out and there is a fuse inside. Should be 2 near eachother. One ecm one tcm

MTVR turns over but won't start

No. Ecm is dead or not getting power. Check voltage with key on to pin 70 on ecm rear connector. 4mm Allan key to remove connector.

MTVR turns over but won't start

    Comm wiring. Not important.

MTVR turns over but won't start

If the water temp gauge is going up and down then ecm is not sending any signals to the gauge cluster.
  7. DeMilitarized

MTVR turns over but won't start

Yes you have to hand prime the engine
  8. DeMilitarized

MTVR turns over but won't start

Yea looks to be from the TIM module indicated by the test code. Truck has to be running for that test to be accurate.
  9. DeMilitarized

MTVR turns over but won't start

Navigate to the main page and see if you can access the ecm. That may be a TIM code which is irrelevant to truck running.
  10. DeMilitarized

MTVR turns over but won't start

Is that an ecm error code? Not sure what module that is from.

MTVR turns over but won't start

There is no electric fuel pump. Get familiar with the technical documentation posted here. The fuel control is completely controlled by the ecm. If the primer handle on the filter housing is firm (fuel to injectors) check ECM with the following. What does your TIM say behind the passenger dash...

    Turret information

The bearing itself does but you need the 4 legs, crossbars, adapter plate, spacer plate, and a whole lot more.
  13. DeMilitarized

    Turret information

Yes legs and turret adapter plate and spacers and turret ring itself

    Turret information

To complete the turret you need about $12k worth of stuff more. It is cheaper to buy a NOS one for around $10k. I know of one for sale if you are interested.

    CTIS Connector issue

I have an a1r black one for sale if you are interested.

    FMTV transmission code 71

Probably not. What are your readings of all of those resistance values?
  17. DeMilitarized

    FMTV transmission code 71

Well.... What was the reading? if it was open loop (OL) then check both terminating resistors on the j1939 line and pull them out and check for 120 ohms across each resistor. One will likely be by the j1939 9 pin port and the other probably near the ecm, abs module, or tcm.
  18. DeMilitarized

    FMTV transmission code 71

Yes my bad. Truck needs to be ignition off.
  19. DeMilitarized

    CTIS Connector issue

The controllers are potted in epoxy so repair on the connector is essentially impossible. A "new" controller will likely be your only route.

    FMTV transmission code 71

You probably lost either J1939 or J1708 canbus communication. Truck will operate "ok" but will be all sorts of angry. Check for 60ohms of resistance across the j1939 lines at the 9 pin diagnostic port off and running. If you get a different reading you have a module or resistors bad causing...
